Thread: The Ultimate FAKE GURU!

This fake Guru is the first in the lineage of all great fake gurus! You can summon his spirit and see his face directly right now. Go into your bathroom, look into your mirror. That is your fake guru, folks. No guru can fool you until you have first fooled yourself. Don't follow leaders, watch your parking meters. You need to admit to yourself all of your sadness, depression, and fears. You are running to gurus to give you all the answers and make you feel good. You walk away from them with a buzz, which is what you wanted. You have always been praying to god, instructing him on how he can better arrange the world, and he hasn't been answering. So now you run to a guru. Now he can call god on his guru phone and relay the message. And, the message is usually something very obvious that you could have known if you had been more self-reliant on your own intelligence. You start throwing your money at gurus when they are giving you simple advice because you yourselves are greedy to be favored over everyone else - just as greedy as the so called "fake guru". Then you eventually become disillusioned with the guru because you have built up a whole fantasy around him. You start imagining that every little thing has happened so you could meet this guru. Now your life is no longer accidental, no longer meaningless pain, but it has a story. The left brain, linear mind creates this story, especially around the guru. Now you are supposed to be dropping your linear, thinking mind, but you still go creating this romance story around the guru. The guru sees you coming a mile away. He is different from you in that he sees the futility of your whole trip - so you think he is wise. Now you are ready to get fleeced of your money and autonomy. Now you run around trying to jump however high you think the guru said jump, you start creating dreams around everything he says. For example, the guru might just play with you by saying nonsense as if it had a lot of meaning and you will go and sit in his ashram for 6 months trying to interpret meaning into a nonsense statement. The guru says, "Chicken Frog Elephant Berry". Now this is a random string of words, and you start thinking, I should stop being a chicken and learn to rise to the heights like a frog jumping from his lilly pad. By elephant he means that I should learn how to ride life as a hindu king rides an elephant. And by berry he means if I learn this I will take enlightenment simply as if I were eating a berry in the forest. Now you see how you interpret any nonsense statement to mean something deep and profound. All the while the guru is telling you that your mind is bad. So you become stupider and stupider just at the right moment. Now, you are a slave. You are ready to have no "ego". People who have no ego, something we often call low self esteem in the west, are ready to be bossed around by any fool. They will start taking orders from idiots as if these idiots were giving some divine commandments. By this point, if there is a god he is weeping that you aren't using the intelligence he gave you to avoid unnecessary miseries and indignities. Now, if you are honest with yourself, and brave enough to admit it, you will get fed up and see what is really happening. You will start questioning your fake guru.

Who is the ultimate guru? It is you, dear reader. You are the one that fools yourself.

Thanks for explaining the psychology particularly this one- "You start throwing your money at gurus when they are giving you simple advice because you yourselves are greedy to be favored over everyone else - just as greedy as the so called "fake guru""..perhaps I was doing the same or still think about it.This also called "DAAN" - donation and is taken as a virtue in all religions.And it is not about money alone , primarily it is about intellect..With intellect/love everything else becomes trivial.People have to access how much they can GIVE and where they draw a line ..SPIRITUALITY IS FOR SALE !!! Lot of GURUS selling it in the market..how much if your life,energy,time,money you are willing to offer to buy the promise, to buy the dream..An impossible dream (they are wiser than us to realize it as we still chase the dream- if not in this lifetime I'll..perhaps in next or next..) .Do you still have the hope?
