I was told about my past life by some saint. He claimed that I was a disciple of a world famous master.
I think talking about past life is a very powerful way to control somebody emotionally. This happened 10 years back and I am still suffering the consequences. I don't understand why some people play with someone's mind just to control them and exploit them for their own fame and glory. What punishment these people will suffer in the end?
Damage has been done in my life because of this past life info and such exploitation. I find it hard to even trust god now. Who knows how he will betray us in the last moment. Playing with someone's life using their faith in god is the most sinful act in the world.
I am still trying hard to find myself. I curse these kind of people. I hope Nature punishes them in due course.

I badly need help as I feel that although I have an innate quest for truth like everybody , I have become a victim to my attachment to a Guru and his philosophy.I would say that none of my experiences with my Guru have been horrifying but I don't see him practicing what he preaches.His logic is that he is equivalent to God and if we can question his action we are questioning Gods like Kishna and Rama as they also seem to had weekensses ( Raas Leela or attachment to Sita) or questioning the saintliness of saints like Kabir,Tukaram,Mirabai,Vivekananda etc who have undisputed credibility.If saints could exist in that time why not now.It is all leela or acting what they are doing and it is forbidden to judge their actions otherwise it will be NAAM-APRAADH.He has profound knowledge of vedas and scriptures and substantiates his claims by verses from Vedas and Upnishads.Please advise..
