My family are among the most spiritual people I know ...but they were following a different spiritual path, so I was advised not to spend too much time with them.

Unfortunately this is the biggest problem in spiritual scene: my path is better than yours, my guru is more enlightened than yours, my meditation technic is better than yours, our organization is bigger than yours, my master has more followers than yours.
Why have we divided in so many different paths? It’s like an advertisement of detergent soap which you can see often on Indian TV: this shirt is whiter than this one because it was washed with this soap. What you are doing is wrong and what i am doing is best. You should not do this and you should do that. Don’t go with them and have their company otherwise they can influence your mind and then you would not be a good follower anymore.
This kind of advice can comes from the state of fear. Fear of losing disciples.
I believe we all are same human and the same God lives in our hearts in the form of Love. It’s great to share Love with everyone and especially with those who are your beloved ones like family and friends.

I want to say something to the original question and that is what enlightenment is for me. Enlightenment doesn't come with a master or guru, fake or not, it comes from within yourself and everybody is working towards it, if he is conscious of it or not. It is our ultimate goal, I believe it is being one with God. And just how the Swami pointed out, God is in all of us. If you are one with God, you are one with everyone around. Your family and friends but also your enemies and people you don't even know.
This is enlightenment for me: oneness with everyone.

Enlightenment begins with an awakening to the magnificence of Spirit, which can take many forms, and the road to enlightenment may be complete when consciousness of this magnificence becomes constant or at least almost constant. I've noticed that almost all seekers and spiritual teachers are somewhere between these two points.

' when consciousness of this magnificence becomes constant '

who can judge about when this is the case?

Always a difficult question: who can judge on who is enlightened or not?

Until science invents an enlightenmentometer, we may have no way of knowing for sure. But if you consistently and progressively feel more and more of this magnificence when you're with someone, this may be a good sign. On the other hand, if you feel drained, stressed, or enervated around someone, that's probably not a good sign at all that they're right for you.

In One way or other, enlightment is a way to dump all your thoughts to God and finally say after 20 years or something (as a rough measure), i am enlightened; i have seen God! i know God!

The question is simple: You know God!! So what; What is the benefit in knowing God spending all the life? Simply one can so i am enlightenend after long years.

I am enlightened doesn't give me job or money!! My education and work will give money and life!! If somebody say i am God or i will show you God, that means he is trying to play a cheap trick with you to get money!!

Life atleast to me have no meaning and if i have to do something to society, i have to help the poor people individually without any expectation and educate people there is no such external means like God will come and save them

The best is the worst is the best is the worst is the best is the worst

There is a saying from someone named Ali that always sticks in my mind. "The worst man is the one who sees himself as the best."

Well, if you know that, then does that men that the man who sees himself as the worst knows that he is really the best? Then that means he sees himself as the best and not the worst, so he his the worst. But if he thinks he is the worst, he will be the best again. But if he then knows, again, that he is the best, then he will go back to being the worst. But if he realizes again that he is the worst, then he will be the best again. But if he then says, "now I see that I am the worst", he is really saying he is the best. There is no end to the circular paradox.
